mine has been installed about 2 years and is still laying/hanging where i put it...i have it in the doors and quarterpanels... i wish i had done the roof like Jeff did...at the time the headliner was already in... ......
I went to Lowes.com, almost all of the reviews for this product are related to automotive sound deadening. Kinda funny. I think I may try this stuff too! http://www.lowes.com/pd_154017-81326-PS625_?PL=1&productId=1018733#BVRRWidgetID
I used P&S mainly for insulation. My Mav doesn't have A/C. I can now cool the inside of the car with a small fan blowing across a cup of ice from McDonalds that is plugged in the cigarette lighter. For winter time heat, a birthday candle will have you rolling down the windows. Seriously, the inside is a lot cooler in the summer. It doesn’t get hotter when sitting at a traffic light. In the winter I can turn the heater down once it warms up the interior and my body heat will keep the inside temp comfortable
They suck. Service is horrible, installs are terrible and unorganized at our store. I suspect they have the installers work for peanuts and they are forced to cut corners. Bought my peel and seal from Turkstra.
Bummer - my Lowes is usually pretty darn helpful. But I have ID'd a few key employees that have been there several years - when I need "real" help I find these guys and they get what I need.
One question....does anyone have a problem with the smell or fumes inside the car with the p&s? I used a product from Home Depot and had to take it out. Just askin'
No smell here, Earl. My only concern is if it ever needs to be removed, it should prove to be a huge mess...
no smell here... I know my peel n seal would be a boy dog to get out... ...don't know about what Earl used...
HI May be try some solvent of some kind (Laquer thinner or something) and a puddy kinfe Maybe 2". and just get under it and spray the solvent and work it with the puddy knife. to try and get it off tim
Im thinkin the same thing, that's why I decided not install it on most of my panels that may be subject to accident damage. I did 1/4 panels in the rear seat area, inner door panels, floor and whl wells but changed my mine abt doing the trunk panels. If I were a body repair shop I wud charge a premium if I had to remove that stuff.
