Here are two of my most fun jobs. The truck belongs to Bobby Kocenko in Endicott, N.Y. and the 36 Chevy coupe is here in Littleton, Colorado. The welt cord is the same as the pinstriping is on the outside. Notice the welt in the backrest of the drivers seat. the welt goes all the way around the inside from across the firewall kick panels, door panels to seats and the green welt continues around the back of body. I have several more if you would like them.

I would be interested in some pics of your door panel work. Doesn't have to be mav. Would this include new board? Id probably go vinyl, since id need both benches done too.

Yes everything would be new. I use several different types of board from red tempered masonite to waxed waterboard. New panel clips will be with the panels. I do not reuse anything unless it is something that can not be acquired new such as any chrome trim.

Forgot to tell you that the door panels in the 36 Chevy are one piece from top of door to the bottom. I had to design the clips myself then mill the tooling to make them because 1936 is the last year of wooden framing and the originals were nailed to the doors.

Vry nice work Mark. I have seen u post hr B4 but never had any idea u were in the custom upholstery business. It's unlikely I'll ever be doing any more upholstery; at my age what I just had done will most likely out last me. Im hanging on to the Comet as long as I am able to enjoy it. Im sure there are others here who can use ur services. It's always nice to have options. Best on ur coming bk to the midwest.

Ok Ken! I can understand the budget restraints - I believe most everyone in this hobby has them. Creativity is one of the better things abt this or any hobby.
Me, being relatively new to these cars did'nt want to spend money on the same thing twice. Also, I was fortunate enough to get a car that was in pretty gud shape for what I intend to do w/ it "CRUIZZE". Im saying that to say: I did'nt have to invest much in drive train or suspension initally, so I cud invest a little sooner in cosmetics. I have a lot of new suspension parts to be installed this spring - but I can drive the car any time I choose since I bought it in July 09.
