What's your best 60' and what rpm did you leave the hole? Trans brake or foot brake??

I have rear suspension issues, leaving at 5200rpm, trans braked with a 1.51 60'.

Keep in mind still tuning the new 1050 but have been pulling 1.45 60's leaving at 4000 on the trans brake, converter is way to tight but we got a new Billet 8" spragless on order to loosen things up.

My car lifts too much, I just adjusted the 4 link to hit the tyres a little softer. What suspension do you have?

Compheads...are you tripping the 60' light with your front or rear tires?

Hate to say it but I still have stock leaf springs with Cal Tracs bars on x275 ET Street Radials.

Mavman, do you race 1/8 mile? Ladder bar or 4 link?

Just checked my slips and my quickest 60' was with my lowest launch rpm of 4200rpm. It was 1.506. And it didn't wheelstand as high or far. Hopefully moving my instant center will help me launch with more rpm.

How does your car launch? I know there is so many variables but roughly where is your 4 link intersection points?

58.0" out and 10.25" up. Smooth launch, front wheels up just a little, and its hard to tell when they're set back down. Very smooth. I changed the upper bars when I did some index racing earlier in autumn. Before changing them, it would hit the tires pretty hard but never really pitch rotate unless the track was excellent (rare). Might go back to the original setting which was 66 5/8" out and 6.875" up for bracket racing, unless the current setting proves to be just as consistent. When I decided to run the index race (6.00), I knew I'd have to take some ET out of it (car runs 5.90) so I changed the 4 link to take away a little bit of hit. Went faster (5.87-88). Pulled some timing and messed with front tire pressure and got it to 5.95-6 and left it. Went to finals and runnered up with a 5.96. Opponent "parked" about 10 feet before the finish line (locked tires up) and went 5.97 to take the win. Fun race. Both footbraking (in a class full of regular index racers with more electronics than a Boeing 737). Also both Fords :)

Very interesting, when I got my mav it was set at 35" and 3 3/4" high. It has a chris Alston rear. The paper work said to start at 47" 4 1/8" high. I have set it there now and adjust from there
