Hey guys. Had a couple of question about tire sizes. I looked over a couple of posts but my questions are pretty specific to these sizes. Will 215/75R14 Tires fit on the front of a stock 74' 6cyl Maverick with Magnum 500 Wheels? Will 235/75R14 tires fit on the back of this same car? I currently have 205/75R14 in the front and 215/75R14 in the rear. I wanted the back to look a bit bigger and the front to fit the wheel well better. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just painted and cleaned up my wheels and wanted to mount new tires. Not perfect, but will look great on my driver.
I can say that 205/70R14s will be fine, at least with stock wheel backspace. That's what I ran on the front of mine for a while. Would 235/70R14s work OK for you on the back? I prefer the wider/lower ratio of the 70s vs 75s.
Even better!! Its a good idea to pay attention to the total tire height. Go shorter if you want more dig. Taller if you want lower highway RPMs. Same height is you want your speedometer to read the same. Here's one of many charts available on the web. So it looks like Demmitt's setup would work best to keep speedo accurate and have lower highway RPMs? Aside from height what is the difference between the 70 and 60? Is one wider than the other? I just found that out too I can get the 215's but no one can find the 235/70R14. I didn't look for the 235/60R14 ones though... I hope those are easier to come by...

P225/50R16 91S The 50 indicates that this tire size's sidewall height (from rim to tread) is 50% of its section width. The measurement is the tire's section height, and also referred to as the tire's series, profile or aspect ratio. The higher the number, the taller the sidewall; the lower the number, the lower the sidewall. We know that this tire size's section width is 225mm and that its section height is 50% of 225mm. By converting the 225mm to inches (225 / 25.4 = 8.86") and multiplying it by 50% (.50) we confirm that this tire size results in a tire section height of 4.43". If this tire were a P225/70R16 size, our calculation would confirm that the size would result in a section height of 6.20", approximately a 1.8-inch taller sidewall.
