Just ordered an 8" FTI converter built for my combo this morning. Looking forward to seeing if it picks my car up. Should get here next week sometime...about the same time Thomas Arnett gets my trans finished. I may make the first race of the season on April 2nd after all lol. I can't wait to get it in the car and see how it does...:evilsmile

Still haven't made it to the track yet! lol Last weekend I was out of town working, and today, it is raining and 45 degrees out... Maybe next weekend. Still haven't gotten the cage in either...waiting on the DOM tubing to arrive. Hoping to be able to make some passes next weekend...albeit without the cage.

As soon as I make a trip to the track...I'll post it on here...

With the Season over now I am sure you got some good results for us. How did it do?

Sorry about the slow reply...been out of town working. Yes, I was quite happy with the results. Only ran 1/8th mile with it, but ran 6.8x with 1.48 60'. That was on drag radials...right up until a valve head decided to become un-attached to the stem lol. destroyed a head chamber, put 2 holes in a cylinder, destroyed a piston, and cracked the block :D. Planning on stepping up to a 351W based engine combo sometime next season. Starting off the year with the old 306 combo so I can just get out and have some fun. VERY happy with the converter though!

oh yeah...I'm sure of it! I'm thinking 427 stroker...just trying to decide what I want to do with the front end. Not sure if I just want to shave the towers, which is the quickest and easiest...but not really be able to use big-tube headers,,,,,or go with an M2 setup, which also isn't too terribly difficult, which will allow for big headers, although custom made, but not a whole lot of travel at the track,,,or to just try to go with a SN95 strut-type front end... That's pretty much where I'm at right now. Don't want to change the combo until I decide what I want to do with the front. Not wanting to waste time and money on putting it in, then changing this or that, pulling it back out, making more changes...that gets old quick lol.

Maxx the best thing I ever did to my race car was the AJE suspension. It used to be scary over a hundred mph but now it feels very stable. Very easy install. Unbelievable turning radius compared to stock. (y)

Mustang 2 gets my vote. There is a reason 99% of A-arm style front suspension dedicated drag cars use Mustang 2/Pinto stuff. The other dedicated drag cars that aren't M2/Pinto are usually struts...and not any stinkin' Mustang struts either.

P.S. you don't need front end travel if you have enough power ;)
