Sounds more like around 275 to 300 horsepower to me. The heads and intake are going to be the biggest restriction. Love your build. It's coming along very nicely and quickly. When do you anticipate on doing the body work and paint? What color?

Well im plannin on hitting the market with my brackets. reason being is cause a couple guys we have here on the forum both make brackets. and are well known in the industry. Down side to there barcket is its 2 or 3 piece, or its a piss poor weld job. What im doing is making a completely billet steel bracket. 1 piece. And im in the process of trying to get my ands on some 6 piston brembo's. And mach these up on the car. I already have a template for the granada caliper. Since the snouts are the same. Ive seen the competition. I wanna make it better, stronger, universal, and last a life time.

As far as my car goes im planing on painting it hunter green. Kinda very similar to this car.

But i want it very low and to look g machine. Cause i want to drift, drag, roadrace, and time to time take it to work.

WOW, I turn my back for 2 days and all of this happens !!!!

First off :Welcome: from Northeast Pennsylvania

Your build is flying! Keep going so it gives me something to follow while I'm ignoring my own Maverick in this 25 degree temperture. I used those Scotch pads to strip all of my paint off. They work great and don't hurt the metal.

    Will be watching :bouncy:

Vintage Venom makes a kit, the works on our cars, it's all billet, but either way, one more kit on the market can't hurt.

If you've got the machines, then go for it, my neighbor use to own a machine shop, we use make all kinds of stuff, but with the downturn in the auto industry, everything slowly went to China, and they closed it and sold it off. :(

    update

allright gentlmen. motor is just about done. just gotta finish the valve train, rebuild the carb, then its on the test stand. i also ripped out the carpet. who ever did the carpet in here, eesh it was horrible. as you can see got my high back seats. already got my steering wheel on. after i grind all the glue and crap off the floor i can make my mounts for the seats, cut the holes in the tunnel to mount my ebrake and shifter. hopefulley tomarrow i can get the motor fired up.

    little delay(update)

well yesturday was very interesting. broke a bolt off into the block. trying to get the timing cover on and water pump. i was rushing and i over tighten the bolt and snap. well today i got it out finished up the assembly on the motor. so tomarrow we should be on the engine test stand, maybe running tomarrow. still gotta rebuild the carb. only thing im worried about now is the cam. while rotating the motor by hand i notice the exaust springs were getting really smashed. like u can barely se threw the spring. the intake springs looked okey. its runable. the f303 cam may be to big. ill find out in the next couple days. finish rebuilding the carb tomarrow, install the thermastat, distributer, wires, plugs and plump it up on the stand.

    Hey, welcome to the community.
Coil bind can lead to some serious issues..............one thing to check on both your intake and exhaust valve springs is the distance between coils at full lift.
The minimum distance between coils is 0.060", and you can check this with a feeler gauge. I would strongly recommend this before starting the motor for the first time. I can't remember which spring goes with the E303 but believe the installed height is either 1.850 or 1.800 inches. I thought that on later roller motors the intake and exhaust springs have different installed heights.....but check for coil bind before you go much further..................IMHO

    reply. valve springs

Well thanks for the info. Ill check it out with a feeler gauge tomarrow. They say that the f303 cam can be used with stock springs and valve train. Basically its the biggest you can go. One thing i was curious about is when i was puting tese heads back together i notice that the springs were a lot softer then the springs i have for.my e7 heads. Like trying to squeze them .in my hands. Felt like the winsor springs were a little worn out. Is it possible that i can switch the springs. Put the e7 springs on the winsor heads. When i held them side by side the e7 were about 1/16 taller then the winsor springs. It has me a little worried. Wondering if i should down size on the cam. Any ideas or advice please. Thanks. Also i have the stock roller lifters. I have hardend pushrods. Stock press in rocker studs. Stock winsor rockers. I chose this cam cause its the biggest you can go without modifing ur heads or rockers. On a late model head. But i didnt check for the winsor heads. Anyone know what the maximum lift is for these heads.
