I managed to salvage a passenger side bucked seat out of the comet we took the scrap yard this morning, the drivers side was toast and wasnt worth using. could i used driver side seat racks and use the passenger side seat on the driver side?:hmmm:

i don't see why not, the mounting holes should be in the same spot..only thing i could think of is if it has a tab to flip it forward might be on the wrong side...but 90% of the time those things don't work anyways.

I would have saved the seat tracks regardless. And yes you could have used the seat on the opposite side. Only problem I can think of is the location of the seat back release, which I believe can be moved.

What year Comet was it? You should have kept the whole seat, even if the seat is all ripped up.

The tracks on the driver seat were rusted out to the point of no return and the seat was broken really bad. I will probrably end up buying a driver seat form someone up here when I get ready to swap my bench. from what I remember the car was a 72 comet GT
