so how did you guy do your dash cover/top? mine is super hard hand ha some cracks, and i was planning on filling them and just wrapping it in black imitation leather? how do you take it off? and can you guys maybe post pics of yours?
Most just use a dash cap that goes on right over the existing cover. It's really hard to even tell the difference. There usually some on ebay. The original cap has a number of screws underneath. The one over near the heater controls is the hardest to get out.
I got lucky, mine's crack free (for now). I'm scared to look at it though for fear that it will crack under the pressure!
I think I got mine for $85 http://www.autokrafters.com/v4/go.g...d=687&yearId=1970&&ACESSearch=1&product=28931
dont know, the cap goes over the dash as is. Normally it just snaps on, my dash was really swollen. http://smegnl.medina.oh.us/index.ph...&id=54:dash-cover&catid=35:maverick&Itemid=54
I have a very nice, no cracks and its black in the garage I wont be needing, if interested shoot me a pm and we can work something out shipped.
That console is from a Granada, and is a popular add-on if you can find one. I bought it from another member on here, but that was quite a while ago. It's surprising when I think about it, how long I've owned this car and how few miles are on it. I get questions all the time from folks about a particular thing I did or built, and I have to really struggle to remember the details. Maybe I'm just gettin old...:16suspect
