door panels

    i think this is the right forum??? so inside my door panels there are all the metal rods inside and when i drive it rattles and it drives me nuts!:mad: is there anything i can do to prevent that?(and please dont reply something about that its and old car)

    O.K....it's an old car and......OPPS!! :D

    The rods have brackets on them to kep them from rattling around. Are your brackets still on there?

    Try spliting a hose and slipping it over the rod where it contacts the door then fasten down the hose.

    Loosely tied tie wraps to keep the rod from swinging around might help

    great idea but which rod? the locking rod?
    oh and btw where do/did you get your blank gas cap to make your custom gas cap!?

    which ever rod is making contact with the door causing the rattle. The cap came off ebay. Should be able to get them from a mustang supply house.
