Mesh Grille

Im thinking about making a Mesh Grille for my car, has anyone dose this before? I found some stainless wire screen sheets on summit that look like there just about the correct size to make one.

 

Havent done it but it cant be that hard, if you have a mig set up fot stainless. I would use the stock grill to get the demensions for bending some 3/16 rod to make a frame to weld the mesh to. Im in the process of useing 3/16 rod to make a grill myself Ill have it chromed to give it some glitter cause im going with body color bumpers. Im fabbing steel vertical supports from the demnsions of the stock vertical supports. Rock it Bro.

PS there is a powder coat color called almost chrome if the welds discolor the stainless.

There's a guy that makes billet grilles for mavericks, they look bad ass and are affordable.

The only problem I see with mesh is that it's easily damageable. Unless you can find the 1/8" thick ones, but those are pricey.

It's actually .035 thick lol

1/8" is the size of the holes. It's cheap enough to try though.
