Oh I know all too well, my car is originally from Phoenix :D

Ironically the sun visors are the only part of my car that actually survived sun damaged. The rest was all either sun faded or cracked.

Going to make this short and simple. I sneaked onto the computer -- wife will kill me if she finds out.

1.) Cost of material, shipping costs, labor is going to play a factor. I timed myself on how long it will take to do it and based off that time I have come up with a 2 numbers I am happy with.

There will be two sets offered; color, material, stock size or my new size is included. you choose.

First set will be WITHOUT center bracket & anchor pins - 70$ shipped be

second set will be 90$ shipped comes with center bracket and anchor pins.

Considering I have to order material, anchor pins, and center brackets, foam, glue, sewing needles, etc all in advanced I am taking a huge risk with this also spending roughly 30-45 minutes per set to insure they're done correctly and top notch.

The first set I experimented with and have decided I will NOT be doing it that way( looking at picture you can see it clumping at the top - which i did NOT like and will NOT be doing that way). The way I will be doing will work, and it will come out GORGEOUS! I have taken some pictures of what I have done -- Please note the stitching and overall workmanship wasn't perfected as I was trying to see if it could be done that particular way. The way I had originally thought does work and it looks nice. I will spending time to ensure each one is done PERFECTLY (sucks being a perfectionist!!!!)

Below are pictures of a standard black vinyl and second will be my personal set with alligator skin. Also some rear seat interior covers I am working on (currently doing all the upholstery on my mav)

Let me know what you think!

P.S. I will be needing as many cores as possible, if you have extras or others you will not be using it would help me out if I could get at least 3-5 to work with so I can ship them and then have the customer ship their cores back to me so I can rotate them.

If you can provide me with a handful of cores I will work with you on a set for yourself -- provided you work with me. You can be my test dummy and vouch for the quality of work for those who are skeptical

STANDARD MATERIAL IS OEM/NOS FABRIC FOR VISORS
100% MONEY BACK IF DOES NOT MATCH (it will :) )
Also ALL material used is TOP NOTCH, no cheap crap!!

Once I have a few cores I will place a ad in the proper section to take orders. Until then I will be waiting on materials to arrive and getting a list of people that would like them. Orders right now are about 1 week out.

    You asked.....

There are already companies that offer this service. Last time I check it was around $40 to have a set done. They probably don't do custome stuff, but I don't know.

    Just food for thought.

You forgot to mention the usually 6 month back order associated with autokrafters. Every single time I've ordered something from them I've had to wait at least 6 months to get it, sometimes even over year.

They also will gladly take you money then tell you they don't have the item afterwards.

Yep, I would rather buy from somebody on this board than autokrafters any day. I have had zero good experiences with them.

I'm glad someone clued me in as to Autokrafters. I almost ordered a rear quarter from them, but American Muscle was cheaper and claimed they had one in stock, ready to ship.:yahoo:

As I stated in another post, I once belonged to a British car forum where they did not allow any comments about suppliers. I wasted a lot of time and money on crappy parts before I found good(?) suppliers. We need dependable reviews of suppliers and how they do business:16suspect.

I would MUCH rather do business with a forum member than someone who is in it just for the money. It may be awhile before I'm ready to order visors, but, I will be ordering them here:thumbs2:.

Who else on this forum makes stuff I may need? Thanks for being there.

I wasn't trying to be insulting or say to get them there. I was just posting it to show the price they were asking.

I fully understand and I apperciate you showing me that link. It proves that I am cheaper and considering the experiences that others have had with autokrafters that they will most likely go with me since it will be less than 1 week out for a visor set given that I have the hardware. Considering they're 3-6mo out and will take money before telling you that they're back stocked for so long.

I have 1 set that will be willing to ship Monday if anyone would like to receive them, and ship me back their old visors.

I have not had any issues with Autokrafters. I recently orderd a complete weatherstrip kit and got it the next week. I have placed abt 8 orders w/ them in the last 2 yrs.
