I drove it to dinner tonight, we had a blast.... I need to get a higher amp alternator with electronic ign. big coil and the electric gages I installed, coupled with the lights on the voltage drops to around 12.3 at the gage... I'm thinking a 140 amp should do for now....

Well, I sold my Maverick today. I am now officially in the category of people who can say they once owned a Ford Maverick. I am now a owner of just one Ford, my 1970 Ford Torino GT that I have owned since 1988. It has been a fun journey with the Maverick. This board has been very good to me and I made sure to tell the new owner about this board and all the good people on here that can give her great advice and their honest opinions. I am glad I got to know some of you on here and proud to get Mr. Charlie Yan to build them billet style grills (which I held on to since it was the prototype). Good luck to you all in life and in your builds of your sweet rides.

    Take Care ALL!!

I bought a 70 Torino GT in 88 too! Mine was originally yellow but had been painted maroon. It was a 351 C with a 4 speed. Traded it for a Datsun King Cab with a 4 wheel drive conversion, what was I thinking?????

I had a 70 GT 351C C6 in 1975. Gold with white comfort weave seats and headliner, Black dash and floor. the rest of the interior was white. It was my High School Sweet Heart. I traded it back to the dealer for a Plymoth Scamp, when I graduated Basic (USMC) in 76.
    I still hate myself.:vomito:
