Is there a specific chin strap and spoiler that are stock/generally used for grabbers? I really like the look of them, I think they are both stock on GT?

I want to put them on a 76, along with the 71 bumper, grill, and hood.

There were never any stock ones, a few dealer added maybe. People have used several different models. Aftermarket Maverick ones, Shelby Mustang, even Camaro. Do a search on here for chin spoiler and you should be able to find one you like.

I personally like the single metal strip that faces forward at a 45 degree angle. Would this be the mustang? Or aftermarket?

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say metal strip. Most front spoilers are either fiberglas or plastic. Mine is fg.

Ok, any leads or ideas on what exactly it is off of or what to search for or where?

Well, since that's my car I think I can help you. I have a local friend here that does Fiberglas work and he made my last one for me. He now has a mold and can make more. The last time I talked with him he said he would do them for $125 plus shipping. If you're interested send me a pm and I'll give you his phone number.

That's amazing. I didn't even notice your sig pic. Your car is the one that I show people when they have no idea what a maverick looks like. Well done sir. Yes, I want that exact one, once I have the money available for extra stuff, maybe 2-3 months, then I will definitely buy one!

    Thanks.

Anyone know of leads for a spoiler? I will post a pic in a bit of what I want, but I think the style I like was stock on the gt.

Not trying to be rude, but there are many different kinds. Just look through old threads and check out the pictures. People usually post the who and where associated with their spoilers. If not, PM the poster and ask.

No offense taken. I know the chin strap I want, now I just have to decide if I want a rear spoiler or not and which one.

I remember liking a few pictures, but now when I search I only find a few and they look kinda funny vs. no spoiler.

    Ok, gotcha.

The stock rear spoiler, referred to as the Grabber spoiler, was only available on Maverick Grabbers. They never came on Comets, including the GTs. BUT, that does not stop people, including myself, from putting them on Comets. The Grabber spoiler is 3 pieces: the trunk lid spoiler and two quarter panel extensions. The quarter panel extensions for the Grabber spoiler differ from standard quarter panel extensions. Factory setups are pricey due to limited supply.

You will find that quarter panel extensions vary by year, based on the rear bumper setup. The most common being the 70-72 bumper style (tucked close) or the 73 style (bumper moved away from the rear panel). These two differences rely only in the bumper brackets used, as the 70-73 bumpers are all the same (minus bumper option holes, like verticals and rubber strips).

Other people have installed raised spoilers, like the ones used on Mustangs. There are pictures floating around of these.
