My current wheels.

I think I have the lugs for these holes, however I cannot find the backings for them. Is there a way I can just buy new ones? It is very much possible I dont even have all of the lugs for my wheels. Also is there an aluminum polish you would reccomend?

Question, are you going to be racing the car at a NHRA track? If so the lug nuts will no be approved if tech inspector sees them, you must have open ended lug nuts with at least the diameter of you wheel exposed.

As far as polish to use I use some stuff called Heavy Metal, it is a liquid type stuff with granules of something in it to cut haze and 1000grit wet or dry sandpaper and lots of rubbing, if those wheels have a clear coating on them forget it no way to shine them up, have to remove plastic coating

Id just go to the local Mission Racetrack here in BC. So I guess not for NHRA. lol

Do those rules apply to drag races? And why is that I wonder?

I'll add that polish to the list of things I need to find here in Langley. No plastic coating as far as I can tell. I was told these are orginal. IDK if that means anything.

Mission is a NHRA track, they will probably not bother you but thought it was better to be for warned, usually they will just tell you what you need unless it is a major violation such as a catch can for radiator overflow or approved battery hold down

 

Usually any tire shop that sells custom wheels can help you.And if your really unsure what you need take a wheel with you and they should be able to get you what you need.

 

Get youself one of the Mothers Powerballs for polishing. They work great.

 

Those aren't a stock maverick wheel. They look like the old outlaw wheels.

 

Who drilled the rivets out of those rims, thats what keeps the center piece from turning on the outer piece. Dont use those rims.. sorry not good

 

Those look like they are one piece wheels and the "rivets" are for decoration, mine have the same problem. With the number of them that are missing you'd think they would have come apart by now if they were three piece wheels.

The tires seem to be stock at least. This is the 'fresh' side of them.

I havent touched them except for taking them off the car. By rivets do you mean the holes? I am not seeing what you guys are talking about in the picture. (Cant look at the actual wheel because I'm at work and the garage is an hour away)

Same style of rims I have on my car, look at the holes all the way around the edge of the rim, they are rivets on mine. they are just holes on yours. The plate will disconnect from the dish on your wheels, maybe even on just settin the car down off the jack! VERY DANGEROUS
