Before shot for the thin panel, after shot for the bumper mount.

Not trying to pick it apart just concerned about the fact your doing the rotesorie. That area isn't going to be mearly holding half a bumper in place. :)

Just a suggestion also. When butting two pieces together that will have a weld on the seam, like this one, it's best to grind a bevel on both pieces. That will allow it to be ground flush and still have weld. Therefore as long as you have penetration it will hold.

Yeah, I gotcha. Just messing with ya. Its a good weld, might not look like it from the picture. The steel I replaced the bad spot with was a little thicker than the original, also. I hope it's good enough for the rotis... :hmmm:

Not much going on these days for the Comet. Winter term has me busy with school work and Spring semester is quickly approaching. I graduate this Spring and I am chomping at the bit!

Anyway, I wanted to update the thread with some parts I have accumulated for the build...

Santa treated me well this Christmas.

A nice Craigslist find got me my intake needs.

A good Maverick friend pointed me to a sale on Amazon. Got an awesome new Dual-Sync Billet Accel distributor (#77201) for $135 delivered!

    Thanks, buddy!

Met with Dennis (Mavaholic) yesterday for a little bit, checked out his beautiful Sprint. Very inspiring! I've got 15 weeks left of Spring semester, then I should be able to get back into the Comet swing of things. :yup:
