Thanks a lot for all your guys great comments. I am going to try to find a way to apply the epoxy today. If I do I am hoping that I can get it to paint this week.

As for getting it on the car, that is going to be a while. the car is currently on a rotisserie get the last of the body work done. It should be painted and assembly should start in a couple of months.

I want to start a thread on the restoration and build up shortly. It would be a bunch of body work pictures and pictures of parts that I have assembled. It would keep me motivated to continue to work on the sub assembly parts.

you may want to check with a plastics manufacture like http://www.ecomplastics.com/ to see what it would cost to mold and produce those grills.

 

It would be cool to see what it would take just to mold a grille.

I build a grille for my Jeep that is one of a kind that brought a lot of attention.

The jeep grille is all metal. Round headlights in a cherokee.

Thanks! Our Cherokee was featured in Crawl Magazine. We love ours. We have gotten to see places that most can never get too.

 

I was planning on a medallion delete like you have done. Extra grills are pretty scarce round here though. Dont want to cut up my good grill. I like how your is coming along. I may just try this.
Its handy for me having the body shop at work with all that great 3m panel bond and other products. Rebuilt a good portion of my grill with panel bond.
The lights kind of give your grill a Brazilian look. I like it a lot.
