So I have no clue what this is but it's on both rear wheels is like a yellow bar. Anyone have a clue of what it could be.
Keeps the rear end from hopping around when you take off fast and lose traction. Adjust the snubber at the front so that it is almost touching your springs.
If you look at this picture of my car, it has caltracs, just a high-dollar version of what you have. Works a little better, too. These actually bolt to the front and force the front half of the spring to pretty much become useless.
Removing my leaf set up in favor for ladder bar set up. but the traction bars work to a certain point
I beg to differ Scoop. I ran ordinary traction bars for years and still got a good bit of wheel hop at the track. Cal Tracs are one of the best things I ever bought for traction! Well, that and my M/T drag radials. I'd recommend Cal Tracs to anybody with stock suspension.
I guess I should have written "attempts to minimize wheel hop". I got rid of my slapper bars because it still hopped around. Haven't had the issue yet with Caltracs.
Zero wheel hop with home made trac bars. But not saying there woulden't be gains at the track with Cal Tracs
GAINS??? Your car ran in the 12's and ripped up the track, if memory serves. How r u going to gain??LOL. I think you should keep your home made ones.
