Why? The gun it a very worthwhile investment. There are many other great products you can use with it. The seam sealer is simply awesome! Look up the products online. Quality adhesives, sealants, etc. make all the difference in the world with your finished product.
I just noticed something I missed before. They make panel ashesive tape now? Interesting, probably more convenient. But is it 2-part or one?
The local place here has a gun they'll let the customer use (at least the ones they know personally). That might help. IIRC, when you buy a tube it comes with one mix tip, so unless you you're planning multiple applications, you prolly won't need to buy more...
When I buy it I always ask for extra mixing tips and they usually give me one or two. I've used my tubes multiple times.
I'll ask the body shop here in town but I doubt they'll let me borrow one or have one as they didn't even know about the adhesive when I asked to order it. I'll check around for a place to loan or has a gun for a cheap price. I only plan to use it on the repair on my current cowl and my other maverick down the road.
