No, How about March 11th? Had to pick a day and wanted atleast a month notice for the out of town guys, and for myself to get the car done. And I didnt want to get into April incase it got hot early, some cars may be driving a longer distance than normally driven.
for those that were asking the shop is in goodyear.. if you want to slap the car on before then, I asked the owner today its 100 an hour... I still think its a better deal to wait till the dyno day... you can even take two spots.. but its up to you guys once again.. the less cars go the more time on the dyno.. for the cars that just want the three runs without a a wideband reading they will be on the dyno 15 mins to 30 min max.. so you see how fast we can go through the cars.. Also for those of you that want the wideband.. it is prefered to have the wideban in the exhaust stream ator close to the header collector.. so a bung would be needed.. most dyno shops put the sniffer in the tailpipe.. we prefer the bung.. if you don't have a bung we can weld one on.. i think they are 20 bux.. but that will also take some time... For those of you that are serious about your power i would weld the bung.. for those that are ehh.. the tailpipe will suffice
I want you to weld my bumm,,, err Bung. We can do that sometime before hand. I want to get some real readings on my carb tune. And I can use the bung later if I ever go with EFI.
March 9-11 is good guys car show. This is going to be a tough decision. If I join you guys I will want to dyno my dd and no it's not the Mav.
March 11th should work...I'll just go with the tailpipe sniffer...no welding on my bumm...err bung...lol
Im going to have to revoke your Desert Mavericks membership card. Its a no brainer to choose a Maverick meet over a lame Good Guys show. Go to the Pavillions and youll see the same **** youd see over and over again at Good Guys. So what is this daily driver? And I need to know FOR SURE you want one of the 10 reserved dyno spots, or just want to run if we have time.
Say does anyone on the west side of town have one of these fuel inlet fittings for a Holley....it's a 7/8-20 thread that accepts a 3/8 flare fitting. It screws into the float bowl and the fuel line attaches to it. I need one since I will now be running 3/8 line from the engine bay to the carb and I forgot to order one from summit when I last ordered. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-26-26/
from my understanding the good guys car show ( never been) is twice a year.. the mav/comet sand box gathering is a rarer event.... besides don't you wanna see the tornado as it rips through goodyear since ryan planned this event? I may have one, I have to look for it, how soon do you need it?

Now for the more important question, who's taking what as far as food? Or is everyone going to pitch in $5-10 at the meet?
So who wants a Spot on the dyno run list? Ryan Gene RobbieG Mashori 71Gold (says he wants to come to saving a spot) Tony (you better bring it) Ryan's Brother (65 falcon) Joe 2mav4u Anybody else? Now for food and beverage. I think its easiest for everybody to bring their own beverages. If somebody is coming with a truck we could use a grill brought over. we will need volunteers for burgers, dogs, buns, condiments, plates, napkins. I have no idea on a head count yet, i'd say atleast 20 people. Also I am going to move the discussion about the meet to the events forum in the other thread to keep it easier to keep track.
