    David the date is set.

If we dont have anybody with a truck or coming with their car on a trailer that can bring a grill then I'll bring my over the day before with my truck. But we are just getting started and I havent even begin to tell the non-regulars of the board about it. I wanted the regular guys a chance to get the dyno spots. Others will be invited to watch and meet.

We have a few more dyno spots open. Reserve them now if you want it. I messaged 150 contacts Ive collected over the years from this forum about the meet. Like I did before. Might only get 5-10 repsonses out of like last time but ya never know. They might crawl out of the woodwork since this meet will actually happen.

You are never going to believe this......... My 5 speed swap is DONE. Saturday I spent hours bleeding the hydraulic system. I had to drill some new holes in the master cylinder bracket to get enough pedal throw to get the slave to release the clutch. This took hours of trying to figure out why I was only geting 1/2" of clutch fork movement.

While it was in the air i realized I had no rear brake pressure. So I bleed and fluched all the brake lines using a suction gun. Brake feels good now, atleast while its in the air. Then I fixed the loose wires under the dash from having to move them to install the master cylinder. I had to cut my brake pedal down because it was hittint the clutch pedal. I cut it to shape to fit a smaller Ford brake pedal pad I go from the store.

Then Sunday I put the interior back togethor with my Mustang high back bucket seats. I cleaned up all the tools and got ready to take the car off the jackstands when I spotted something dripping. I found my brand new Holley fuel pump is leaking fuel from around one of the gaskets. I checked all the screws anfd they are tight. So now I need to mess with that or just get another one and swap it on there. I was so close to driving the car, but still finally got the feeling of accomplishment knowing the trans swap is done and working.

Im coming for you Gene. As long as I can run a 15.20 I'll be happy.

Now If I can just get this fuel pump thing fixed I'll be out driving the thing. Shouldnt be too hard since there is no customization required, just unbolt and bolt back on. Oh I still need to order and install a shifter boot. But thats not required to drive.

Bring it on!! Maybe that will be enough... I'll be installing my electric fuel pump this weekend so we'll see if running 6psi versus only 3psi will improve my track times.

Might be TOO MUCH FUN. I think i'm going to need some stickier tires if I want this thing to hook and get a decent 60 foot. These 255 Falken street tires will be no match for the 3.89 gears and manual trans.

That tire in a 16" wheel is $212, Ouch. I may go back with the Nitto 555r once the Falkens are dead, they have almost brand new tread still for now. the Nittos are one of the few that make a street radial drag tire in my size. they hworked great back when I was running more often and using the nitrous.
