Field Find: '71 Maverick

Found this in a field a few days ago. It has a running 200 i6 in it. It's a 3-speed on the column. Three on the tree rare in Mavs? Here are some pics:












Still have to get it home. It's rained a lot here recently. Just too wet to hook it up to a rollback. Hopefully in the next few days.

Thanks! Surprised me it was in such great shape. It has a one rough spot right where the hood latch is. Hard to see it in the pics. 100% repairable though.

Oh yes. Very solid. Has a bad spot in the trunk lid, and one in the hood. All fixable.

 

my 1973 maverick is a 3 on the tree. Works well but I really wish there were two more gears.

 

What motor does it have?

 

302. She's got a lot of pep.

 

Very nice! I have an older '72 LDO Maverick. Bought it a while back for a parts car. Has the original 302 in it. (That's the only good thing about the car. OH, and the bumpers.) Hoping to one day rebuild it and put it in one of my other Maverick or Comet projects.
