What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    Degreased the motor and bay. Cleaned and polished those BIG bumpers.
    Polished all the chrome and other trim.
    Took some pic. and took it for a ride. It runs great. I still don't have tags for it yet. Its nice to live way out in the country. lol

    Changed the valve cover gasket, changed the air filter, and put new plugs in. rides like a brand new cadillac compared to before hand :comet:

    Finished removing the left torque box today. Man those spot welds that hold them in are tougher than you know what!!! Maybe they were rivets........

    Finsihed removing all interior pieces and began my cars diet by removing ac... anyone have a walkthrough I can't figure how to remove this stuff

    Drove to austin and bought a fixer upper grabber hood. It was in better shape than expected when i got there.

    first day workin on the comet in 3 weeks..removed the hood, started sanding the replacement decklid(the new decklid has 4 weird holes across the back edge, it looks like something is supposed to bolt on, maybe some sort of spoiler:bananaman), sanded and paint a few pieces for the grille...

    Finally got around to fabbing the bottom plates and installing my 9"/ putting axles and brakes all in then finished takin out the old e-brake cable that I doubt even worked...so close to being able to run... But need a trans! (need a built one)

    Today I drove it for the first time since September. The 5 speed swap is done and the fuel system change. Its like a whole new car with the T5, very fun to drive. I resisted making tire smoke though until the clutch has some miles on it.
