i hope to get it finished up in the next few days maybe he still has to order his megasquirt setup before he can drive it so im not in a huge hurry lol

As far as cleaning i use straight purple power and a electric pressure washer with a high pressure tip.

The never ending part is a real pain sometimes. Still trying to install the front disc brake kit, wouldn't fit the old wheels..............so buy new ones, have to replace the spindles because my old ones were toast............come to find out the spindles were the very early ones and the bearings from the disc brake kit wouldn't fit anyway..............glad "Razorsharp" pulled my butt out of the fire on that, thanks!, then find out that the old spindle washers from my old spindles are too small..................go to 2 Autozone stores to get them. Take the spindles off only to find the lower ball joints are toast (the tops have been replaced)...............now I need to buy lower control arms.............so, bite the bullet and get some Global West reinforced control arms with bolt in ball joints..............the bushings in the strut rods are toast.............so while on the phone to the guy at Global West I got a set...................This is worse than building a hot rod from the frame up..................but I guess what can you expect from a 42 year old car that has spent most of its life going up and down the 1/4 mile......................IT NEVER ENDS!

Wow!!! It should be against the law to have so much fun!!! Glad the spindles worked out good for you anyway. Well, it'll all be worth it in the long run...then the real fun starts. :)

Good news the block actually looks like it might still be good. I have no idea how it survived this. The crank looks mint, all the bearing were normal except for one that was cooked. But the journal was good.

Now the weird part is how did the coolant get into the oil if the block wasn't cracked like I always suspected :hmmm:

OUCH!!!! If the block is not cracked check the heads and or head gaskets...

Today I replaced the rad cap...Summit cap with temp gauge leaked out the top and sprayed all over the engine...Cleaned the engine up and drove the crap out of it. 200 mile trip. I love this car....

Heads, head gaskets and intake were all good. I still have to clean the bore to give it a good look but the crack I thought I saw before looks more like dirt.

Gotta go pick up a can of brake cleaner to give it a good once over, I hope it's good because I picked up a set of V8 frame stands for the falcon. This would be a great foundation for a V8 build :bouncy:

Your engine bay looks awesome by the way!
