...your thoughts... I did some business with a company that a board member works for. he recomended the company and gave me a contact person for the parts I needed. I ordered the parts and all has gone well so far. my question is...would it be right to leave him a trader rating for the recomendation being he works there? would this be the same as if someone told me i could get the parts at Auto Zone and they worked there... if for some reason the deal goes South with the shiping, do i give him a neg. rating...
Id wait until the deal is done. And if all goes well then post it up in the Vendor Links if its not some strange Frank project and somebody can benefit from the parts they supply.
It's not like you are dealing with the guy....I like "Baby Jane's" but you are not getting positive feedback for that.....
I agree. I bought parts from a guy, who was a parts counter guy at a high end race parts shop. In my website, I vaguely gave him credit for the cheap parts, but I never posted a trader rating for him. If your guy was like my guy, he may have helped you get parts at a discount that the average joe may not have access to. So keep that in mind. We may not get as good of "service" as you did, if you got some freebies or discounts. So, did you get a discount? And if so, how much and what do we have to do to get it too?
BUT...On a boat forum I frequent, I got connected with a guy that was not a member but personally gave me good info and a good price, so I created a special thread mentioning his name, company, email, and phone number, and encouraged others to contact him for professional help. But, this was more like the Vendor Links that we provide on this forum. So I would go that route.
All Frank's projects are strange because their Frank's project. Strange because Frank doesn't think like we do, he thinks like Frank does. We can't think like Frank because we aren't Frank. Agree or disagree, Frank will always be Frank. I'm glad he's my bud.
I believe the itrader ratings are to be used for rating the transactions with members and not with commercial entities. You could probably do a vendor link to help him out.
iTrader is to be used for transactions done between forum members on items sold/bought on the forums.
