    Body and Engine Work

Sanded and primed the roof and front pillars.

Final sanded and final primer on driver door after repairs were made.

Worked on cleaning up valve covers.

Started stripping a new, near mint, rear valance that I got from a guy on craigslist.

A long dusty day at our shop!

For those who aren't sure...6.90 in the 1/8th is very fast, much less letting off half-track. Our first Mav was had a 331 stroker, race prepped C-4, and 4:10's. Our fastest full throttle pass was something like 7.30 in the 1/8th. (The guy we bought it from had a 300hp nitrous system on the car and ran 6.70's in the 1/8th.) JD's probably running a low 10-sec 1/4 mile car...???

Dropped off the Mav with our a favorite garage for the front end replacement. Their primary business computer bit the dust a few weeks ago and I spent 2 days on site getting them up and running again. Gotta luv bartering!!!

Yep, very fast! My GTO was in the 7's at half track on high 11 second passes.

Very fast for a street car. The last time I ran mine was during our ArmDrop Live episode in 09. Here's my best ever time slip. I ran 6.97 one other time but my 60ft time a 1.60 whereas I got a 1.58 here. A better driver may have been able to do a little better with that 4 speed but I think I did as good as I ever could since I've mostly ran automatics most of my life. The 4 speed sure is fun to drive though unless I'm at Cruising The Coast...then it's a nightmare. I'm seriously considering changing back to automatic so I may soon have a complete toploader setup for sale. :)

Yes, the suspension has hardly changed since they were put on there almost
    33 years ago.
