After talking with the tech guy and an enginear (cant spell it) at Comp they say that having all 16 lifter bores oversize will cause a problem. Looks like it's back to the machine shop to get the lifter bores sleeved.
Also I told him that Summit shows and Comp lifter with an .875 dia. I gave him the part number. He said that they dont make a FORD lifter in that size. He looked it up, Nope. .874 also.
Where did Summit come up with that number.
    Things that make you go...Hummmmmmmm

Summit makes up their own crap sometimes. I called them out on a Carter Mechanical fuel pump that I called Carter themselves about and they dont know where Summit got the info or why they displayed it as such. Double check everything you buy to cover your ass.

That sucks Robbie. Any idea why the lifter bores are lorger? did somebody bore them and then not sleeve them?

Hey Ryan, the bores are only .001 oversize if you think about it and get this. I just got off the phone with the guy at King Balance where i had the motor work done and he said that Comp is ful of S**T.!!! I have known this guy for years and trust him. He says he has never heard of this problem before. He is going to make some calls and try to help me figure this out.
    This has gotten crazy.

being oversize can cause a problem, but it's been my experience that they'd have to be really oversize to cause any problem. Even then it's usually low oil pressure problem and not a situation that causes lack of oil to the top end.

Ran a 460 once that had been run out of oil...bores to lifter clearance was almost .003. Ran great. Oiled everything just fine but the 460's pump is also considerably larger than a 289/302 pump. Just a bit bigger than a 351w pump.

This better than TV (not that I would know...). Ok this is better than Hulu!

Sorry Robbie, I know it must be frustrating.

I was waiting to post. The motor is back in the car. I put in a new Milodon HV HP pump and it seams to have fixed it. The last pump was a new melling HV. When I had the motor down i could find nothing wrong with the build so I tried a better pump. I shoud get it fired up this week.

The only other thing I did was to tap the front oil galley holes and put in threaded plugs. Didnt want to risk blowing them out with the HP pump.

    Great news!! It lives!!!
Got her fired up yesterday. Sounds great I got oil to the rockers this time. 60 PSI at idle and over 80 when I blip the gas. Warmed it up to 190 DEG's 3 times. Time to retorque the heads and reset the valves. I've got abot 30 minutes on the motor now. so I can bring the idle down and set the carb.
I am WAY Happy now!!!
