removing paint ?

    I have a set of old edlebrock valve covers (alum) They are painted... Can I use paint striper to remove the old paint ? so I can polish them...

    Yes..just be carful to ALWAYS test a spot before proceeding. FYI do not leave it on overnight either.

    I've used aircraft paint stripper on alum. from Advance Auto with great results...don't know why anyone would leave it on overnight...:huh:
    15 mins...wash off with water...do again if not clean of paint...:Handshake
    wear gloves and this stuff gets very hot...:yup:

    WARNING was given due to the fact that many years ago I did leave it on a part and it degraded the surface. :naughty: So learn from my mistake..and yes wear protection, you never know what you might pick up.:rofl2:
