i have been looking everywhere for bolt in maverick connectors with no luck...my underbody has already been blasted and painted in high gloss so i dont want to have to grind and weld !

I have never seen a set of bolt in connectors available for a Maverick. Only weld in type.

I miised the "bolt in" part, all the ones I've seen are weld in.

You can always modify the weld in's with some plate to bolt them in jmo

Bolt in subframe connectors are like the diaphragm birth control method. A half measure. You're probably going to prevent pregnancy, but you can still get herpes.

    :hmmm:

My twisted analogy aside, the small amount of extra time it would take for weld in connectors is time well spent.
You can make your own for less than $50 out of some square tubing. Even if they don't fit every contour but just go straight from front to back, they're superior in strength to any bolt on connector.

I used these from Chassie Engineering. They fit perfectly but did need to be welded in

You probably can't find them anymore but maybe some one has a set of Starnes Bars they are not going to use. Dan Starnes, a member on this board built a bunch of sets(I don't know the #) but they fit our cars and they are round tube and look great. There were some under car pics of Dennis' car with them welded in, maybe a better computer user can dig up the pics. If you really wanted you could get some C channel to put over your existing frame rails, bolt them on and weld the bars in place, remove and paint, reinstall. As stated prior, better than nothing but not near as strong or solid as welded in.

Dan Starnes no longer makes these. One would have to find a set somebody is not using.

What acually is? That he doesn't make them anymore, I didn't say he did. Reread my first sentence, I said some one might have a set they are not going to use.
