Need a quicky fix for raising front suspension

I'm shipping my car via transport truck next week. The company (DAS) requires that the car have at least 4" of ground clearance to load onto the trailer. Right now I'm fine in the rear but my headers are 2.75"-3" off the ground. I need to raise the front suspension 1.5" temporarily. Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be a good fix as I will do minimal to no driving with it set up this way. I have stock suspension with all new components. I'd prefer not to go through the hassle of swapping front springs, as I'd have to go to the yard to pull some and then uninstall, install, uninstall, install.

Jack the car up, screw the spacers in...........load the car...........unload the car.........jack it up..............take them out...........and away you go!!!!

If you put 4 in each spring you'd probably get the height you're looking for.

 

Find some larger tires and rims.

 

The spring spacers should do the trick. Between that and taking my lowering blocks off the rear I think I'll be good. Thanks.

Harold, had a car on his lift the other day that had three of these on one side to level the front...

 

You could take a short 2 x 4 and put it between the coils...

 

Bigger tires

 

I'm sure they say this just to cover themselves but the driver has probably dealt with this in the past....A coupla short lengths of 2x6"s under the tires if there's any spots that would hit on the trailer should take care of this...A lot of exotics have spoilers/ splitters that are lower than 4" and they handle that....Just assist the driver if possible

My experience with DAS has been they load and remove the car from several carriers in the process of getting the car to me.

 

Get some 2x2 square tube cap on end and weld a nut on and bolt the stand in place of the bumpstop to hold the front suspension at full height

 

Get some old shocks, extend them and weld 'em ....


Eh ... maybe not ... they have pressurized oil or gas in them ...


OK .... make "fake shocks" .... Kind of the same idea as Joe's ...

 

This is just a random suggestion but is there anyway you could decompress the springs(jack the front up) and cut a couple of wooden wedges to put in between the coils so when coils compress they sit on the wooden wedges. just an idea that may or may not work.
