    a lot :Handshake

If my cf cowl hood weighs more than 10lbs i would be shocked.......I can lift it and put it on myself with ease......couldn't do that with a stock hood nor the Bolt on fiberglass grabber hood I had.....in fact I think the fg grabber hood I had weighed more than a stock hood.....

Now, I would be interested in a CF or even a Pre-Preg rear decklid w/molded in spoiler also...............along with the 3" cowl CF hood.

My carbon fiber grabber hood is noticebly lighter than the stock hood. Probably about half the weight of stock and looks a lot better.

my cowl was a 3 incher which was actually 3-1/2 at it's highest point. there were a few inquiries from race car guys for 4 inchers but not enough market IMO for it. most guys on the street don't want something that tall. if i can fit a small roots blower with a 1/2 inch NOS plate and a 3 inch drop base air cleaner under the 3 inch cowl that is more then enough space.

you hit the point right on the nose you cannot please everyone. when you go with OE everyone knows what to expect. also the problem is i don't have a trashed car i can just fiberglass stuff up to either.

i forget what the weight was. i know i listed it down here one day. i think it was like 43 lbs if i recall. it's heavy!!! my cowl was 26 i could have made it lighter but then i didn't want it to flex either.

that crossed my mind too. but then i wouldn't do that in pre-preg because you would looking at about $2k easy! hand laid i can probably get away selling it for about the same price as my hood. but then you still need each fender end too. plus to match it would have to be done hand laid maybe maybe i could use the infusion process but deck lid plus two sides i'd say an easy $900 but damn you would lose a lot weight between both hood and trunk.

    YES i do!

were is the "like" button! ;)

Carbon fiber cowl hood and decklid for less than 2k? Sold! Thats got to be close to 100 lbs taken off the top side of the car.

lol. I was kidding. Probobly blocks the rear view :biglaugh:

On another note. Is a Comet carbon fiber hood ever gonna be considered? The scoop can be added instead of it being a complicated one piece.. The scoop in carbon at least?? I for one would be in on that.. and a spoiler.
