Drove the Sprint all last week with the new carb on it. Did some carb tweaking and installed the belly bar I purchased from toporanger. Need more nice weather to continue driving and enjoying it.

On some of our stock cars, we welded a one way EGR valve from a Pinto into the header system on an angle to the flow direction - We then connected a heater hose to a fitting on the valve cover and the pulses from the exhaust would keep a pull on the heater hose. That was a very common way to do it back in the day. :)

Nothing fancy, just some old TF twisted wedge R heads that were used on one of Roush/Yates cup cars back in the early 90's, 7/16 studs, 3/8 Trend push rods with Comp Ultra 1.6 rockers along with Probe girdles.
My machinest Bob Gromm (he has been working on Ford heads for some 30 years and has been writen up in many magazines over the years) has some concerns about the exhaust shape, kind of a scallop'd D shape, that they may not make the HP I'm shooting for. I will find out at the end of this week when the motor goes on the engine dyno for the first time since it's been refreshen'd....................we will see.

Oh, the intake is just your garden variety Edelbrock Super Victor Jr., with a little port/polish/match....................I also have a Carb Shop 850dp that is flow'd to 1020cfm and a 1050 that has been reworked for this motor by the Carb Shop. I'm not sure I will have to time to run both carbs, so I will probably concentrate on the 850dp for now.
We have also tamed the CR from 15:1 down to around 13.5:1.

Just this week I had the dyno guy and my machinest tell me the regulator on the car was a piece of junk and too restrictive for the motor............so I went out and got a Magnafuel large two port regulator. It matches the line I have going from the Mallory CP250 in the trunk all the way to the carb, 3/8" ID.............not quite as large as yours, but it should flow a lot better than before..............your certainly got me thinking when you started redoing your fuel system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Handshake

You are probably right about the 10, but the thought of all of that line running from the trunk to front of the car is a lot of work. Already replacing the transmission lines from the trans to the cooler and back which are #8.
We will see how the motor responds on the dyno..........then maybe........
I need to draw the line and stop working on the car and get it on the pavement so I can have some fun....................it's been too long coming!
