    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    Plugged the specs into a primitive desktop dyno emulator.
    Here's what it listed, I wanna see how close it gets to the real numbers :yup:

    701@7,000 and 574@5,500 will be my guess!

    (Although I think it's gonna make way more TQ.)

    I have no idea except to say the car did a 9.801 at 133mph in the quarter.
    The car is 3325lbs wet.

    You just need a little chassis work and then I'm not sure I would want to be sitting at the tree with you beside me................................IMHO

    I am having to make a change in plans.................and not sure which way I can go with the SuperFlow dyno.
    The guy that was supposed to do the dyno break-in/pulls can't take the motor because;
    1. It doesn't have a flywheel.........remember I run a Powerglide and can't take my bellhousing off
    2. My headers will not clear the dyno because they are too narrow.

    I have called a friend who has another style engine dyno that will start the motor without the starter................now just need to find out if the headers will clear his setup...................and the cost, I was getting a real good deal................now I'm not sure what a full day will cost me but am sure it will be over $500.
    I guess I could do a chassis dyno, but I have a brand new trans I would like to break-in also................just hate doing them at the same time.

    I'll let you know which way I go.................

    I'm already poor from this refresh and replacing the front end of the Maverick......................guess I shouldn't have retired last year.
    There are dyno's that hook up to the motor via the flexplate/end of crank and they can start them that way, kind of like the way they start AAfuelers.

    We will keep moving forward........................No, not much fun at the moment!

    Well, I may have found a place that can take my motor the way it is.
    Here is a picture of the dyno...............and it's only about 30 minutes away. The only downside is the cost..........for $1k I get 1-1/2 days plus a tuner/dyno operator. No, that also includes setting the motor up and getting it ready to run...............I figure that will take about 1/2 day.....so I should have a full day of tuning.........................:bouncy:
