    Guys, look this video!

Turismo 5000 was the fastest in the Brazilian auto racing.

In the early 80s, there was a race in Interlagos that participated only V8 cars, almost all were Mavericks 302, but existed some brazilian Dodge (based on '69 Dart model) 318, and one brazilian Galaxie (based on '66 US model).

The cars were cheap, and the grid was full.

This prompts an inquiry; any thoughts, (or knowledge/rumors), on Ford/Mercury considering re-production of the Maverick/Comet?

Chrysler brought back both the Charger and Challenger, and that appears to be a successful decision. What would be, or is, stopping Ford?

What do you think the consumers reaction would be? Would you be estatic, but skeptical?

Probably should have started a new thread on this. Mods?

    Yes....new thread. :D

What would be the consumer response? What is stopping ford from doing this?: Total lack of interest.

The Maverick was an econo car. Lots of those still readily available from manufactures new. No need for another one.
