I learned quickly how to do it myself, you just stick the tool under the trim making sure it goes all the way back and get the pointed angle against the metal of the window opening and then slide it until you feel it stop on a clip, work the tool point behind the clip and gently pry it and it will release the trim, mine took a bit of work as there was dirt and leaves in there prolly 40 years worth, you have to do it by "feel" but once you get one done you will be better at the rest of it because you can then see what you have to do, there are screws holding on the bottom trim and you have to open the door to get to those, keep at it it's really easy once you understand how it works. Remember you are not prying on the trim but on the clip to release the trim, so you pry like you are dragging your knuckles on the windshield, not prying up. This may help some.....at least it shows what you are trying to do by feel.
I was finally able to get the windshield trim off. I bought another tool, Lisle windshield clip tool, looks like a torture tool made to look like pliers. Anyway, I still ended up pulling out several clips but that window is done. I wonder how easily this stuff is going back on!
