Found a set of 16" Mitsubishi Starion wheels in my dad's shed from a car my brother had in the mid 90's.

I looked on line, wow! same bolt pattern!

The bad news was that the hub diameter was too small to fit the 76.:(

They'd probably fit the drum models w/ the 2 1/4 hubs.

Beautiful day, figured i'd take it out of the garage, clean it and take it for a ride for the first time this season after installing the front brake cooling ducts, adjustable front shocks and the AFR aluminum heads...First up was taking it for a ride around the neighborhood just to make sure it ran alright, didn't leak anything, etc....Everything felt good and you can definately feel the extra power from the heads....Came home, got me girl and decided to take a ride to the beach....10 miles later, running great at 65 mph until it comes time to slow for a turn and i have to downshift...Whoops, no clutch!....I'm able to coast to the side of the ride to check it out......I open the hood, look down to where my clutch slave and push rod is and notice that the nuts i have on the push rod have loosened up so the slave can't engage the clutch.....No problem, let the headers cool, get a coupla 9/16's out of the trunk and get underneath and tighten everything back up and be on my way.....That's when i notice fluid dripping from the slave area, not a good thing.....The car is really too low to get underneath and see where it's coming from so the flatbed i call shows up 20 minutes later and i'm towed home......Get it home and jack it up and see that because the nuts on the rod loosened up it allowed the slave piston push all the way out enough to allow fluid to leak but i never lost the piston as the pressure from the clutch kept it stuck against the slave housing.....Okay, start unbolting the slave cylinder figuring maybe i would need a new one but low and behold as i loosen it moves enough that the pressure from the clutch snaps the piston right back into the bore:yahoo:...Re-adjust the clutch and i'm good to go....What pisses me off the most {other than the $200.00 tow bill} is that just about every nut and bolt on this car is either locktited, safety wired or lock nutted, except those nuts on the pushrod, until now

Took the Comet out Sunday for a cruise. Hasn't been driven all winter. Got the cobwebs out & had a wonderful time cruising. Got back home & went to work on the Grabber. Got the rear wheels & tires on, front turn signals, marker lights & shock tower to firewall braces installed. Another productive day. Coming up to crunch time. May 1st will be here soon...

I read in my polict that they dont reimburse, you need to call their service to schedule the tow. Just this weekend I put the tow info in both of my cars and one in my wallet.

I got my bumpers back from being re-chromed yesterday and got them put on today. Did you know the bumper shop does not sell new bumper bolts? I had to wait on Melvin's to open to buy new bolts. Melvin's is closed on Mondays...I should know this by now because it seems that I always go and check to make sure they are closed on Mondays.
