Anyone that has Facebook might want to check out the Nancy Perry Productions profile. From what I understand several car clubs showed up, ignored the posted signs that stated it had been postponed (and as a matter of fact even destroyed the signs), refused to leave and left a huge mess behind. From what I read the police that were hired to watch over the event were asked to stay home and because of that the inmates took over the jail. I am trying to find out more about this, but rumor is that it could be cancelled permanently. The businesses and the city leaders were not amused. We had these problems back in the early 80's and the police ended up closing it down for good to all cruisers. As far as I can tell...and I don't have any confirmation as of right now...I have no reason to believe that it's not going to happen next Saturday. But this event is on thin ice. Join in if you know anything more. I will talk to my contacts that know Nancy Perry personally on Monday and report back.

I just got this message from Ruck U at work, "4 link bar/heim joint broke at the finishline, rolled it, slid on the roof, over the guard rail, hit 2 trees, flew over a 3rd, and landed 20 feet away from the lake" He said he walked away sore and bruised and a sore tailbone, but not bad considering the wreck.

I guess there's pictures of it on Faebook but I cant see them from work.

Wow. Sorry to hear about Matt. Glad he is okay.

Saw pics on the news of the cars on Central. They said it was officially cancelled and would be next Sat. Did not say anything about damages thiugh.

Looks like he did a great job building, or overbuilding for his class. amazibng he didnt break any bones or worse. I hear he crossed the line on his roof at 119mph. Makes me think twice about my 109mph runs in a totally stock seat, belts, frame.

The main hoop saved his life. Look how the roof is crushed right onto it, but it didn't fail. Cudo's to the maker of that!

I didnt see any subframe conectors in his posted pics. I dont know if they would have helped. I think he posted them in the tech section in Levells thread on roll cages.

After looking at more of his pics, the car didnt separate the rear is cushed in.
