What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    Pulled the storage tray out from under the dash on my "71 Mav and removed the front bumper, bumper filler piece and the front cowl (or whatever you call it, the piece that sits below the bumper with the parking/turn signal ights peeking through) from the car (not in that order). Put all the bolts back into their original holes to retain the clips they screw into and avoid losing the bolts. Took my girls (Mommy and daughter) to the beach to avoid getting fussed at for spending too much time on the Mav.. and had a great time there too!

    Worked on the hood a little bit but didn't really accomplish much.

    pushed it out of the garage, finished welding up the battery box, threw the battery back in it and drove it back into the garage

    Gave my 72 comet gt away to clear out my garage.... Now the grabber is happy to be inside....

    Put on new upper ball joints, cut one coil off the front springs and painted them, got the new lower control arms out of the box and started laying out all the new parts so I can put the front end back together so I can drop in the motor and tranny

    Changed the downpipe yesterday, worked on the tune today as it chaged drasticly

    Traction is now gone

    Lol nah just means some more adjusting on the bars i hope ive put alot of street miles on these hoosiers so they maybe turning also. Time to docotor the slicks up

    Finished tearing down my 69 351W, bare block now. Everything still looks pretty good. Ill take it to the machine shop to see whether I have a Boat Anchor, A Potential IED or a Stroker Candidate.:huh:

    Sent the 74 Comet 4dr to the crusher.... It was pretty well stripped. No motor, trans or suspension on it....

    finally got the 302/aod swap all hooked up. made my own shifter and shift linkage for now. til i can get the cash to buy a nice one. started to yard drive it , found out a trans line came undone. fixed it. then ran out of trans fluid. maybe tomorrow ill get to drive it!:dance:
