It is ok but it looks like a good way to destroy your nice paint.

To wide, if you could change the off set of those rims and get more tire under the car maybe. Not one to brag my car isnt safe to drive yet:rofl2:

I love em. BUT they will get cut when they bounce up into the wheel well. Ask me how I know. I have wide wheels also and used the same size tire before. Ruined them with only a couple hundred miles on them if that.

Nahhh.. They are perfect. The fronts could be a little wider.. And the car needs to sit a little lower.. I run 50's on the front too.. Or at least I did when it was road worthy.:)

    :):)
I gonna try some miles. And see what happens. Maybe 14x9" and the same tire could work.

I like to see pictures of your wheels. :camera:

What you could probably use is some more offset. Mine stick out a little bit too on my 71. But it is a race car only so I have fender guards behind to protect the paint. I still get melted rubber on it from the burnouts. So I'm sure you'll be getting a lot of rock chips. :)

Don is right, you have the wrong backspace/offset

also 10 is too wide imho, you can fit a 275 on a 8" tucked in nicely.
    or a 9" if you run 17s.

That's the problem. With my 14x7" It had rock chips. I really love how they looks (Love the offset) but maybe cut the wheel to 9" is the correct..

If I put that tire (265/50) on my 14x7 (Like front), Is it gonna see the same wide? (I want wide):)

If I put this type of guard, Can I avoid the rock chips?

Yes...those wheels look cool as heck.

But...no way would I run those wheels on a Maverick. To run that wide of a wheel, the back end HAS to be jacked up. Even with it jacked up, you will eventually hit something or bust an air shock, then the quarter panel will be demolished by crashing down on that too wide of a wheel. You will also slice up your tires with the quarter panel cutting into the side of the tire. some suggest the car now needs to be lowered......NO WAY will that work at all.

Everything you are trying to do with those wheels on that car is what a lot of us were doing back 30 years ago (in the 1980's). We know the pitfalls and problems. Been there....done that......got the T-Shirt.

Too wide, and too small. I think they look kinda goofy.
