Pulled the trans mount X-member out (new exhaust pipes still in place:bouncy:) and gave the modulator a 1/2 turn in for a total of 2 turns. Took it for a short test drive but didn't decide if it needs to be adjusted in some more. Jay at Broader Performance said a total of 4 turns in would be OK.

Made and installed a drive shaft loop out of 1/8X2" flat stock steel from Lowes. I intended to use a Mustang drive shaft loop but it looked too flimsy to contain a loose drive shaft.

Tried but failed to locate a rattle that showed up since the X-pipe was replaced by unconnected exhaust pipes. The rattle occurs while idling at a light but not in my driveway.

Front shocks or rear shocks? Hopefully here is some insight for you.. and some input from a KYB tech.

Replaced the left rear axle seal on my 73 Comet. Installed the new recored radiator in the 70 Grabber. Has 3 core original radiator back in it. When I took the trans cooler lines off, I broke a nipple on the radiator. Had that fixed, then pressure tested. He said it looked like a sprinkler, holes everywhere. Couldn't find a new one anywhere local. So, had him recore it. It turned out very nice. Sold my blue 74 Comet 4dr. Whew! I'm tired...

Wow that was exactly what I needed! ! Thanx! I'm replacing the front shocks and the rear as well.....only thing different for my set up is I'm lowering the car 2 inches in the rear but could I still use the same shock as the Nissan?

it should still put you in the useable range using the nissan shock. I love the monotubes on the front, just trying to get enough time so I can get the rears on... dang my wife and that stupid list..:biglaugh:

Yeah I know what you mean... I was told I have been working on the car to much and not enough on the house...the car has not ran in 3 years! I hope to drop the motor in at least in the next 2 months. Thanx again:Handshake!

tried to drive it to work today. got 8 miles from home and I lost ignition, car just cut off. Has fuel but no spark.

called up Haggerty and towed it home. cost me all of $5 which was the tip to the driver for not using the J-hooks on the control arms to winch on like the last dumbass.

Well, bead blasted the headers and started painting them with VHT. Hope to have the motor in the car this weekend....................it's hard when you have to do it all by yourself.........................kind of takes some of the fun out of it................IMHO
