I would stay away from up22 or as they are more commonly known, Unlimited. do a search on here and see some of the comments.

Carbon fiber... If I can't find a original metal I am going to mentally drool and dream and yes....save for one :) Heard nothing but good things on this forum.

Thanks for the tip Ward. Being new to the restoring world, it's great to have access to the experience of so many others who've been doing this longer (and I'm sure more successfully so far!) than I have. They all look good in the pics (the Unlimited products), but I shld know by now that pictures can lie...

here is a few pics of my 2 door with a 6" fiberglass cowl hood and the engine under it, the cowl did help it run cooler. I really like the look IF you have the car to back it up. cowl hood on a base 302 or worse a 6 cyl, then you are just a poser and asking for alot of grief.

By base I am referring to the stock 302 that came in these cars. Mine started as a 302 then was bored out to a 306. Not the most powerful on the street but very capable of holding its own. By poser, I am referring to the people who put loud mufflers and bolt ons to make people assume its fast but do nothing to actually make it worthy of the look. I was not trying to imply your car wasn't fast enough, just making a statement.

lol nah i didnt think that, plus my car needs alot of work, but needs a new hood. the old one its rotted out, and i rather pay extra now for something i dont need then go right back and have to buy a different one all over again. and it would add a good look to my car. mine as the stock 302, and it aint loud at all. i dont want something thats gonna to break the windows =P knowing what my car can do and thinking what my car can do are 2 very different things =) thx for your comment

Personally, I don't like cowl hoods anywhere but where they belong, on Camaros and Chevelles. Just a personal preference.

I hear you, paint is so far in the future I'm not sure Doc and Marty could travel that far ahead to see how it will look!
