What part of the 70 Grabber rear panel was painted black? I have seen several pictures where the whole thing is painted black, where just the raised portions by the lights is black, or the whole rear end, including the spoiler. This is what mine looked like pre paint. Is it correct? http://smegnl.medina.oh.us/images/stories/One.jpg
Not only the complete rear panel, but the rear facing parts of the spoiler as well. This is a pic of an original 70 grabber tail ..........
hmm, not sure if I like that. When did they go to the center only? I guess its like 70 hood stripes. I like the latter ones with the little pinstripe of color better.
72's were decals and the hood had different color pin-stripe around the main stripe unless stripe was black. The 71 was painted and was black including the pin-stripe.
I don't think so. The spoiler is not a maverick spoiler. It does have the side extensions and bumper filler peices. It had a 74 (I think) grill on it. I now have a 70 madalion grill for it. Its hard to say 100% cuz the car was hit in the back so I think the trunk might have been replaced.
I am. I just wondered what a 70 grabber panel looked like. Think I am going to go just black center and keep the shiny bezels for now.
Here is what a red 70 Grabber would look like. Note the side stripe does not say Grabber. This is what the rear panel would look like on a 70 Grabber. The bezel should be bright, not black. The 70 Grabber rear end treatment doesn't look aesthetic to me, I guess Ford thought so too.
