thats a bummer. I had quite a few websites to choose from to make the board. Figures I would get one with issues, just part of the curse.

I also have some links in the local craigslist to grab peoples attention. I was hanging out with a crew of guys last weekend that go to shows and hang out and do BBQs and stuff togethor. They say they all have to call each other to see whats going on. Im going to try and get them on the board to make it easier for them to keep in touch. They have all kinds of cars, rat rods, street rods, Tbuckets, vettes, mopars.

Ive finally come to a decision after talking to a Tech at Eagle. It looks like Im gonna build a 408 with 9.9 to 1 compression.

It seems the 9.480 deck hieght of my block limits my choices of stroker kits. This has been a major PITA.

I hope so. I figured it only cost 200 more that a 357 kit plus clearing the block for the rods. Why not just do it. The Guys on here that got em really like em. I have too much other work to do on this car so Ill probably get to the Motor by spring next year.

How I spent my Sunday and day off Tuesday. Unfortuneately I was not fixing the Maverick. I was side tracked with the Mustang.

Sunday I installed the new headlight set. I also took the opportunity to do some more painting on it. I painted the front bumper again and went back to the doors with the satin black spray bomb. I already did the roof and have left to do the doors and quarters. Should look presentable when its all one shade of black.

Sunday Morning I was also out hunting for 5 lug spindles. Many yards just pissed me off at twhat they were going to charge but found a decent price at one place. So I got to work and had to give up because I had a 24mm socket, but needed a 24mm wrench or a big adjustable to get the ball joint off. So Monday I see the yard off of 67th ave and Orangewood posted a car on craigslist that they just got it for parts. I stop by after work and check it out and do some negotiating. Then find out they are only open during the week. Hmmm, guess im taking Tuesday off work.

So I leave the house at 730am. First stop is to get some tires mounted that I had picked up Monday night. Then its off to the yard. I get there about 830 and the car isnt yet on stands to be worked on. SO I make a lap and see whats in the back. no other suitable cars but the one still on the ground but theres a 95 on the lift having the trans pulled. I ask if I can work on that one. I thought for sure it would be a NO because of safety rules but they say to go for it. So in a bout an hour I had both sides off and payed $110 for both spindles complete with everything on them.

Now about 1030am I pull up to the Oreillys by the house. I pull the rotors off and take them in to get turned. While there I grab the brake fluid, pads, and caliper paint. While they finish the rotors I head to Ace Hardware to get the needed 5/8" washers for spacers for the ball joint nut. I get home about 1130 and its time to eat.

I get started at about 12pm. first cleaning and painting some things. then start tearing down the front end. First side takes about an hour and a half start to finish. second side about an hour. By 3pm Im ready to bolt on the wheels. Hmmm, I dont have enough lug nuts. Off to pick up a new set and some speed bleeders cause nobody around to help with that. After som emore brake bleeding, bolting on the wheels and doing a driveway alignment I was cleaning up by 4pm. I do a test drive and make a couple adjustments and then im off to the alignment shop.

After driving up and down Indian school between 35ave and 75ave I find a llantera shop tha tcan still do an alignment at 5pm. So i toss them $40 and wait an hour or so. I get home about 630 with a completed front 5 lug swap.

Now you may have read all that or you can just look at the pics and see whats new.

    Looks nice Ryan:thumbs2:

Sounds like a Very productive day. I usually hit a snag 2 hrs into working on my car, get POed, make a trip to town for supplies and end up side tracked by shinny things.

Doode, You kidding, Im shooting SEM High build on my front fenders in the morning. Love to see your Kid Though. Never told me, Boy or Girl?

Id ask your Bro if he wanted to paint his car, what color he really wanted to paint it, Id doubt it would be satin black if he had the money. But what ever he would want Id be willing to put some money in for what ever it cost. For a future Vet. He wont be home much, wont see his Family enough, wont have a home cooked meal often enough. Ive been there, cost me my High School 70 Torino GT. But Damn. If my wife left me, my country S!!t on me,(and they did) if I still had the car of my dreams it would have been alot easier to believe again and start over.

No one ever Marries thier 1st love, But if you can keep your High School Car you have dreams to build on and alot of Hope.

Please dont call the fruit of your loins, the kid. What is the Childs name?
