okay i know i am not the only weirdo on this site thats a pretty hard core gm guy that has a soft spot for these little cars. i am not going to lie i love these little cars! also have no problem bringing it around all my fellow hard core gm friends. i am sorry but they look better than the vega. in my defense there are no blue ovals on the out side of the car just the door jam. when i was a kid a guy down the road had one, i had no idea who made the car i just thought it was as cool as hell! and i still do. :bananaman

so im going to make all you gm guys come out of the closet with me and admit it your a gm guy at hart

I just love cars in general. I have owned ford, chevy, toyota, honda, mazda, volvo, vw, mercury, dodge, even hyundai. My favorite so far was my 1959 2dr willys wagon 4x4 with a ford 302, and my 1972 chevelle with383 stroker , TH.400 trans. Ford 9" rear end 4:56 gears. Yeah chevy with ford..go figure. It doesn't matter in the end who makes what, just what works for you IMHO.

I am first and foremost a Ford guy. However, when I inherited a 1969 Camaro SS, I become bilingual.:16suspect

I was born and bred Chevy. My blood is even orange. When I was 16, my cousin had 75 Comet G.T. that he couldn't ever get off the ground. I bought it for 300 bucks and tore it down. 4 months later, I had it going. My brother was ragging me the whole time about it being a ford and how I was going to have to work on it all the time. I just smiled and told him that a real mechanic could make anything stay together. We raced that evening. I took his 89 camero with a smile. He never lined up with the little junk G.T. again.

Wld that make you bilingual or a cross-dresser Hawk?? lol... Can't blame you. If I inherited a '69 SS I wld cross-dress too, and gladly.

Come to think of it, my daily driver is a Dodge Dakota so.... but over the years it's been primarily Fords for me. 3 trucks, a van, 2 Thunderbirds, a Town Car (Ford enough for me!), my first original Maverick. Have seldom been let down by any of them and when I was it was usually operator error.

Brand rivalry is silly. The Big Three have all made good cars and good engines in the past, and they've all made some absolute crap too.

This isn't a NASCAR race in the 70's, I have no idea why we still do this.
