Tell me what you guys think. My car makes just over 400 HP.
Full spool VS Mini spool? Is a full spool over doing it?
    Who makes the best axles?
I want to rebuild it right?

I would overbuild it, since your racing it, full spool and good axles. I would stick to companies like Strange or Mark Williams.

I agree with Strange. I also agree with overbuild. Go with 35 spline! Good luck. (y)

I have 39 spline. The guy that helped me put my car together said to go overboard on the rear so if u ever wanted to make more power ur already ready for it in the rear.

good way to go. except the 35 spline spool wont fit in a standard case. you need 3.25 bore case. to fit the 35 spline spool. there are 35 spline spools that will fit but they are too thin on the bearing journal and will brake.

I know a lot don't like Moser but I've been running a 9" with Moser 33 spline axles and Moser full spool with 4:33 gears for over 10 years now with no problems.:)

Really? You sure about that? :rofl2:

Moser or Strange or Mark Williams. 31 spline will be more than adequate for your application. Just be sure to buy the spool and axles from the same manufacturer. They won't interchange between companies.

Actally they WILL interchange, all the 31, 35 spine stuff fits everyone elses stuff, you can use mosier, strange, mark williams axles with a ford locker, posi, or anyone elses stuff.

Yep my rear end was made out of a f-450s rear end. It all rated for 1200 hp. Any other questions? U should see my u-bolts I had to weld a plate on my traction bars to make them work

The people that made it said the housing was a f-450s. They shortend it to fit my car. Then the guy that built my engine put the the rest of the stuff in it. And he says it's 39 spline and has a Detroit locker and the rest is Yukon stuff that's rated for 1200 hp that's about all I know. Oh and it has 00 explorer disc brakes. And it wasn't cheap

You really dont know what you have thats a 9" it maybe out of a F150 or a F100 and it wont take 1200 hp without some serious work to the housing.

You cant get a detroit locker with anything over 35 spline also

A F450 is a ton and a half truck and uses a huge rear end that has full floating axles
