The one you have should work, but where do you have it mounted and do you have a trans/temp gauge?
If you are mounting it infront of the radiator I would say it's taking quite a lot of cooling away from the motor raditor. The reason that the one Frank has is much more effective is because it cools its self..............depending on where it is located ofcourse.
Remember that a trans temp of over 200 degrees the trans fluid starts to break down and at over 210 it breaks down even faster. I run a temp gauge on mine not only because I run a trans brake, but I like to keep close tabs on the trans temp......................the temp sending unit needs to be in the trans............not in the line, as the temp in the line can vary from 10/15 degrees of what it actually is in the trans depending on how far away from the trans you put it.....IMHO

I have it mounted infront of my radiator but there is a 3" gap between them and im running the 2 speed Taurus fan, and I'll be getting a trans temp gauge on payday
