What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    I originally was going to run a tube between the distributor and carb and weld to the tower plates but my breather is in the way. So then I just added the cross tube behind the carb.

    got my cowl leakage fixed!:dance: then put in my new front carpet and a shifter boot for my homemade shifter and really scrubbed the interior.

    Took said Maverick for a ride after adjusting the carb, and getting the ignition troubles fixed. Ran fine, just needs a few more tweeks and cleanup for the Gathering!!!

    went and picked up some E85 and went to drain my tank and had the dreaded "plastic bag" lucky it even ran... now to pull the tank again

    Do you mean there was a plastic bag in your tank? or does this mean something Im not familiar with?

    It means the tank sealer delaminated from the tank and looks like a plastic bag it was stopping up the fuel line (an-12 (3/4")

    while I had my A/C system apart I moved my drier and fan control box. got it pumped down and will charge it up tomorrow, if the vac. holds over night...

    Now to pull the carb down and enlarge some passages

    Removed the old plastic coolant recovery container and installed a ss 2"*15* lg round unit. The org. container was/had cracked arnd the mounting tab.

    After that, I proceeded to go for a little ride to a local cruise abt 20mi to test my AC. It's workin OK. Ready for the upcoming summer distant trips/show/gatherings/events or whatever.

    has anyone here rebuilt an edelbrock 600 cfm carb? if so how hard is it?

    carb kit and a few handtools 3 out of 10 on the skill required scale.(y)
