So, i've been keeping this to myself because my maverick wasnt going to be roadworthy for awhile. Sorry guys. Anyway, I work as a tech at our local Chrysler,Dodge,Jeep place and had my brain itching to try this out sooo.... I made it happen, turns out JK body wranglers 06 and up have something too offer us:D [IMG]
short adapter harness from a mopar pigtail. A relay system is coming soon from all the spares I have from pt cruiser cooling fan failures:biglaugh:

The bulbs in these are nice. These NEVER get moisture in them either.

All you have to do is make a pigtail to adapt the bulb then the thing bolts in like sealed beam :HandshakeYOU'RE WELCOME~!

yeah.. the H4 types are definately a step up from the sealed beams on these old cars. I've run H4 motorcycle lights in the past but I still prefer the bosch lights myself. A bit pricy.. but well worth it for the all-around performance you'll get from them.

The most interesting thing about the OP's housing choice is the ability to keep your eye out for that specific vehicle so you can actually see the beam pattern and cutoff before spending the cash on them.

The OEM's do a fair job on designing a good all-around light for todays cars and these 7 inch round bulbs are about as good as you can get from a basic design standpoint, IMO. The motorcycles can be even better in that regard.

The headlights with bulbs were 25 bucks on eBay, the pigtails were the most expensive at 15 a piece. Considering the huge improvement, Id say it's worth it. Still cheaper and much nicer than ANY aftermarket models
JK body is 06 and up. The bulbs are a 9008 I think but I will verify it tomorrow. The shape is neat too, it's a bit more round than typical stocks or replacements

So these are factory Jeep headlights? and the harness is a factory piece?
Do you have any part numbers I can call my Chrysler buddy with?
If you look on Rock Auto, it just comes back to a standard sealed beam...

They are factory pieces. I meant to get part numbers today but some stuff came up I wasn't expecting. I'll get them in the morning ASAP!

Yeah Ive been waiting around for another set here too but they never get moisture in them for me to justify replacement. A good friend of mine, also a board member, is itching to nab some too. He works at the dodge place with me so he is keeping an eye out
Thanks guys! Trying to decide if I should put the trim on it
