I got the passenger side spindle loose and everything ready for the disc brake conversion to go on later this weekend. It seems just when I'm making progress I have to stop and do other stuff.. No fun.

Went and got the exhaust done at the muffler shop. Stopped at the tranny shop to ask a question. When I came out I couldn't get the key to go back in the ignition. Walked over to a friends shop. His mechanic came over with the tow truck, opened the door, and the key went right in. DUH!! Drove over to his shop, the mechanic pulled the cylinder out. There was a piece of copper that had fallen off the switch. He said it was for an alarm that wasn't there any more so he put it back in and it works fine now. Gonnna bump the timing up a few degrees and adjust the carb. It is running pretty good now.:)

Looked at maybe removing the dash frame out of mine, then decided I didn't want to remove the lower window seal.

Just went out and put a set of export brackets on the rear of my 70 to make it easier to tie down in the trailer. Then had to come in and have a bowl of chocollate mint chip ice cream.:bananaman

I did the same for my 70 also, and now trying to decide what I can rob/build/fab to put in the front. I hate attaching to the lower control arm or over the front crossmember. Or maybe add 2 extra tie down pockets in back of the wheel so I can use a tire basket harness. Just hate attaching to the front suspension all of the time......................................
