We wanted a bench seat for the middle row too. But, to be honest, it is nice having a place between the seat to get to the back (but you can also flip either seat forward) and to put other stuff (versus putting it in the back or on the floor). It makes the middle row more roomy. And yes, the front seat surprised us too. The seat back folds all the way horizontal. If it had been a middle bench, it would still be sitting in our driveway. And you would gain an extra seat to get 7 total seats.
Thanks guys. The wife loves it, so life is good. I am gonna order some extras for it. I am looking at the Ford factory stone guard for the hood and a set of splash guards. It did not come with remote start, and the add-on kit looks like it does not re-use the original key fobs. We are not too keen on having two key fobs on one set of keys. :16suspect
Is it the "Limited" edition that has the rear spoiler? I've seen new ones in the box for 60 bucks in Columbus a few times, and I know my friend payed way more for his at the dealer.
Nope, this is the SEL (the middle package). It has the 202A equipment group (all the bells and whistles minus Navigation). It does not have the brushed rear panel trim or the spoiler. I found the spoilers for sale, but they seem to only come primed. I would have to get it painted... but that is not a big deal.
For what they want for the Nav, it seems like a huge waste of money compared to a Garmin or Tom Tom. It was over a grand when I ordered my F150, I didn't get it.
Exactly, and we already have a Garmin that travels with us. So, it seemed pretty straight forward for us. I have never been into built in vehicle navigation. The only plus to having the NAV is the ability to have a factory back-up camera, which ofcourse we don't have. But, it did come with back up beep-at-ya sensors. It seems very accurate and consistent.
And although I am not up to date, there are apps on the phones now for the navigations.. My TomTom took a dump and my nephue (who has a much newer phone than I) punched in the address where we were going and got us there.
You got it! She is very happy, so life is good. You're right, Gene, phones have nav apps now. We like our gamin though. I got one with a big screen, so it is easy to read while it is stuck to the windshield. We also got it for the water maps, since we live on the bay. It will be going with us once we pick our 'new to us' boat in NY.
