So I bought a new Mav and it has a gear vendors overdrive with a built c4..seeping some fluid from the pan gasket. also has a currie 8 inch unit with aluminum center, 3.25 gears and detroit locker. Before I got this car I had picked up a like new complete versailles 9 with brand new brakes, dust shields, hoses, parking brake cables too. Im not sure which one to keep and which one to make money on. Im looking into getting away from the traditional windsor/c4 so the overdrive isnt going to do me much good other than help fund my project. my question is how much is reasonable to ask for the gearvendors. How much would the complete currie unit be worth, and how much for the versailles 9 COMPLETE?
you could Google the parts and see what they are selling for...then make a great deal to board members...
Had a Gearvendors in my 66GT with C4, and I can tell you that back then I paid $2600 for it new............................anyone's guess as to how much they go for used..................but they are really fantasic as I had 3:89's and on the highway I could cruise with traffic at 2krpm......I'm sure that will be an easy sale......................IMHO
